It’s bulleting rain on the car windshield on the 13th hour of a trip from London to Chamonix, France. We’re engulfed by a white fog. Every few minutes, I pass a massive truck while holding my breath. We’re out of water. I can’t stop now. One more hour and we’ll finally be there.
